ONE-ON-ONE REVISION COACHING

Have you completed a draft but are struggling with where to even begin revising it? Or maybe you have completed a revision pass but still feel like something isn’t working, you just can’t put your finger on it?

This revision package will identify the big structural issues in your story and give you a plan to tackle them. We won’t waste any time in the line edit weeds, but will take a big picture view to ensure your story foundation is strong.

First, we will dig into the heart of your story using the Author Accelerator Blueprint for a Book framework. Then we will create a comprehensive as-is outline of your story in order to analyze what and where issues with character, stakes, trajectory, and plot continuity may exist. Finally, we will rank those issues by importance of priority and use your outline as a road map to execute those changes.

Includes:

• Exercises designed to drill down to the heart of your story to ensure that heart appears on the pages of your manuscript based on Author Accelerator’s Blueprint for a Book tool
• Creation of an as is Inside Outline
• Feedback on our Inside Outline
• Revision passes as needed to create a final Inside Outline
• A revision plan using the final outline
• 20 page submissions of revision pages for feedback
• 30 minute biweekly coaching calls (4)
• Call recordings so you can rewatch as many times as you need/want
• Ongoing email support during the project timeframe

Investment: $1,000, estimated timeframe of 8 weeks.

NOTE: This will not be enough time to revise your entire novel. Additional deadlines can be purchased month-to-month ($500 per month) if you would like ongoing support.

MANUSCRIPT EVALUATION

My professional manuscript evaluations are similar to a developmental edit. I will evaluate your manuscript for big story problems like character, plot and pacing, tension, structure, and voice. At the completion of your evaluation, you will have a clearer picture of what works and what doesn’t in your manuscript, as well as have an understanding of where to focus revision efforts in order to take your manuscript to the next level.

A manuscript evaluation will include:

• Submission of your full manuscript
• 5-7 page editorial letter
• In document comments
• Suggested next steps for your revision
• 1-hour coaching call to discuss feedback and next steps

Investment: $4 per page, full manuscripts only

Writers who complete Revision Coaching with me will receive a $100 discount on a full manuscript evaluation after they’ve completed their revision.

If you decide you would like coaching support to execute revisions, additional deadlines can be purchased month-to-month ($500 per month) if you would like ongoing support.

If you decide to add on the Revision Coaching plan, writers who have purchased a Manuscript Evaluation will receive a $100 discount on the full package.
